There is no better way to head into 2009 than with a new vision as to how better treat your body and the planet. Mark Bittman, the award-winning champion of culinary simplicity with the bestselling How to Cook Everything and How to Cook Everything Vegetarian has written Food Matters, a plan for responsible eating that’s as good for the planet as it is for your weight and your health.
Clearly, food does matter: a conversation at Hart House, University of Toronto, on January 26 between Mark Bittman and CBC’s Matt Galloway drew almost 300 people. The discussion between Mark and Matt was lively, and the audience questions were engaging and entertaining.
The Globe and Mail has posted a great video of Mark touring around St. Lawrence Market, chatting about some of the ideas from his book. Check it out! http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20090124.wvbittmannew0124/VideoStory/VideoLineup/News
